Eligibility and Entry Fee
The Chitrakar Art Competition is open to artists of all ages, with a minimum age requirement of 3.5 years. Yes, you read that right - 3.5 years! This competition is perfect for young artists who want to develop their skills and showcase their talents. The entry fee is applicable, and it varies based on your category. Don’t worry, the fee is worth it, considering the amazing prizes and recognition you’ll receive.
Medium and Subject
The competition allows you to express yourself through various mediums, including pencil, color pencils, oil, acrylic, watercolor, and poster. The subject is “Art within You,” which is a great theme to explore your creativity and inner self. This theme is a selection round to enter the Chitrakar Exhibition and Awards 2024, so make sure to submit your best work.
Registration and Selection Round
The last day to register for the selection round is August 25th, 2024. Don’t wait until the last minute - register as soon as possible to have ample time to submit your work and gather votes for selection in the Chitrakar Exhibition and Awards 2024. The selection round is online, and all participants will receive a Chitrakar Digital Certificate of Appreciation online.
Selection Round Details
Out of the participants, 100 will be selected to exhibit at the Chitrakar Exhibition and Awards. These 100 participants will be divided into two categories:
- 70 will be selected by a jury of experts.
- 30 will be chosen based on public votes across all categories.
Awards and Benefits
The top 30 winners will receive the Chitrakar Award, which includes a trophy, certificate, and exclusive art kit, along with a 1-month specialized painting course coupon exclusively with NS Kumbar Sir. The Best Art Award will also be given to 20 artists, including all categories.
Exhibition and Awards Guidelines
If you’re selected to exhibit your work, you’ll need to pay an exhibition fee. The artwork size and submission deadlines will be provided to selected participants. Make sure to send your original artwork by the specified dates, as late submissions will not be accepted.
Shipping and Responsibility
As a selected artist, you’re responsible for sending your artwork to the exhibition venue by the given deadlines. You must also retrieve your artwork within 15 days after the event concludes. The Chitrakar team will handle the display of selected artworks but will not be responsible for any damages to the artwork or framing.
Ownership of Awarded Artworks
Artworks selected for awards will become the property of the Chitrakar team and will not be returned. The jury experts’ decisions regarding the best entries for the exhibition and awards are final.
